In April the UK Maserati Club ran a week-long tour of the Picos de Europa area of Northern Spain and around 40 Maseratis of all ages attended.

One might have expected good weather that far south but there was still snow in the mountains and even a closed mountain pass to negotiate. Back on the plains, the group continued to the Rioja region and included in the event was a tour of the Marques de Riscal vineyards.

The oldest car on the event was a 1960 Maserati 3500GT, restored and maintained by McGrath. ‘Our’ 5000GT was also in attendance and other classics such as Sebrings, Meraks and Quattroporte Series 3 made quite a sight negotiating the traffic in San Sebastian.

Staunch supporters of the Maserati Club, McGrath Maserati were not only the title sponsor of this event, but also provided breakdown assistance services en route.
