A prestigious role in the event of the century

The most important event of 2014 was the Maserati Centennial Gathering. 250 Maseratis of all ages took part in this four day event which started in Bologna at the birthplace of Maserati and culminated in Turin with a tour of the new Maserati factory and a Concours in the Piazza San Marco in the centre of the city.

Twenty luminaries from the worldwide Maserati community were invited by the Chief Judge Dottore Adolfo Orsi on behalf of Maserati SpA. to judge the Concours, including the legendary Ermanno Cozza from the Maserati Records Department and Lorenzo Ramaciotti and Marco Tencone from the modern Company, Italian specialist Giuseppe Candini, German specialist Rolf Schiemenz and McGrath Maserati director Andy Heywood.

A number of McGrath Maserati clients had entered the Gathering and some of these also featured well in the Concours, including the 3500GT of John Jackson and the Mistral Coupe of Mark Guterres.

With a typically Italian prize-giving, it was a wonderful and fitting end to a fantastic event. Here’s to the next 100 years Maserati.
